XLine

Getting Started 

A line can be described as an (infinitely) thin, (infinitely) long, perfectly straight curve. The xline entity represents this line in 3D space. An xline extends infinitely out from opposite sides of a point. To draw a Xline see the XLine Tool

In hsCADView, a xline entity consists of the following data in addition to the Common Data:

Property Name

Data Type

Description

Base Point

3D Point  (X, Y, Z coordinates)

The location in 3d space that the ray starts.

Directional Vector

Vector  (X, Y, Z coordinates)

The vector describing this rays direction.

Angle

Scientific Data

The angle at which this ray emits from the base point.

 

 

The above properties are shown in the Selection Property Tree when a xline entity is selected using the Selection Tool.
