Radial Dimension

Getting Started

Radial dimensions are used for measuring the radius of arcs, circles, and ellipses and displaying it with a leader line.

RadialDimension

In hsCADView, a radial dimension entity consists of the following data in addition to the Entity Common Data and the Dimension Common Data:

Data Type

Description

Text Override

Text

<> means no override. Change this value to display desired text instead of measured distance.

Rotate Text

Scientific Data

Rotation of dimension's text.

Center Point

3D Point (X, Y, Z coordinates)

Center point of arc, ellipse, circle.

Chord Point

3D Point (X, Y, Z coordinates)

Point on circumference of arc, ellipse, circle.

Offset Point

3D Point (X, Y, Z coordinates)

Point for text offset in the radial dimension.

Leader Length

Scientific Data

Length of leader line.

Start Angle

Scientific Data

Start angle for dimensions arc.

End Angle

Scientific Data

End angle for the dimensions arc.

In hsCADView the above properties are shown in the Selection Property Tree when a radial dimension entity is selected using the Selection Tool.
