User Coordinate System

Getting Started

User Coordinate System(UCS) is a user defined coordinate space. The user can define multiple coordinate systems and store them using Manage User Coordinate Systems. UCS is always defined with reference to WCS. At any given time, there is only one UCS active. The active UCS can be modified using various UCS Tools.

A user coordinate system consists of the following data:

Property Name

Data Type

Description

Name

Text

Name of object.

Xref Dependent

Bool

Whether or not this object is dependent on an external reference.

Xref Resolved

Bool

Whether or not the process with the external reference is successful.

Origin

3D Point

Origin Point for this User coordinate system.

X-Axis Vector

3D Vector

X-axis for this User Coordinate System.

Y-Axis Vector

3D Vector

Y-axis for this User Coordinate System.

To create user coordinate system see the Manage User Coordinate Systems library.
