Delete Tool

Getting Started 

The Delete Tool erases/removes entities from the drawing.

 

Deleting Entities:

From the Toolbar: Find the Delete Tool icon ssModifyDeleteTool on the Modify Toolbar (color coded green) and Click on the tool. The tool is now active and ready for use.

 
From the Shortcut Key: The default shortcut key for the point tool is the letter "Delete". Simply press the key and the tool will be activated.

 
From the Command Line: Type "delete" into the Command Line, at the top of the notification window, and press the Enter/Return key.

 

This tool is a Stacked tool; if there is no selection prior to the activation of this tool the Selection Tool will become active. If entities were already selected when the  tool was activated then this step will be skipped.

1.        Select entities to Delete.

2.        Press Enter to finish the selection process.

 

1.        When the tool is activated after a selection is made the entities will be deleted. If there was a selection prior to the activation of the Delete Tool then a dialog box asking "Delete Current Selection Set" will be shown. Select "Ok" to Delete the selection.

 

Reset:

After deleting the entities the too will automatically reset. You can either continue with other tools or explode more entity(ies) again.

 

1.        Press the Delete Key with one or more entities selected. A dialog box asking "Delete Current Selection Set" will be shown. Select "Ok" to Delete the selection.

 

Reset:

After deleting entities the tool will automatically reset. You can either continue with other tools or explode more entity(ies) again.

 

 

X-Axis: Restricts rotation along the X-Axis.

Y-Axis: Restricts rotation along the Y-Axis.

Z-Axis: Restricts rotation along the Z-Axis.

keyboard_20 Escape (Esc): Cancels current tool and activates the default tool (Selection Tool).

keyboard_20 Space: Resets this tool.
