Image Insertion

An image entity represents copies of Image Definitions.  Copies of image definitions can be inserted into a drawing using the Image Insertion Tool.  To insert an image, it is required that the image definition exists in Image Library. Image definitions are added to the Image Library using the Manage Image Definitions Tool.

 

A image entity consists of the following data in addition to the Common Data:

Description

Origin Point

3D Point (X, Y, Z coordinates)

The images reference's base point.

Dimension

2D Point (X, Y size real numbers)

Size of image.

Rotation Angle

Scientific Data

Angle of rotation about insertion point

File Name

Text

Full path including filename with extension for image.

Show Image

Boolean

If checked (true), shows actual image, else shows only a border for the image.

Unaligned

Boolean

If checked (true), shows image unaligned.

Clip Image

Boolean

If checked (true), clips image to borders, else leaves image unclipped.

Transparent Image

Boolean

If checked (true), makes image transparent.

 

 

The above properties are shown in the Selection Property Tree when an image entity is selected using the Selection Tool.
